Are any of you bees planning, or thinking about, wearing blue shoes with your wedding dress? My bridesmaid dresses are pool (turquoise) and I thought that wearing a color similar to this but lighter would look nice with my dress. My dress is "diamond white", so white satin shoes don’t quite work. To see a picture of my dress click here. My bridesmaids are wearing silver shoes, so I wanted to do something a little different. Does anyone have pictures of a bride with blue shoes on??? Please help…

I’m not wearing blue shoes, but I will be wearing red. I think colored shoes look really cool, and no one really sees them unless you want them to. Here is a picture of a bride with red shoes; it’s basically the same effect: http://www.jessicaandben.com/blog/images/2008/02/232963878-l-1.jpg

hmmm…no pics, but i see no reason why you can’t strike out on your own here.
i thought of it briefly as a way to incorporate the something blue, but there is absolutely nothing else blue in our scheme, so i decided against that. (now, i’m thinking…underwear?)
But, colored shoes are quite the thing to do now…and i know many, many brides who are choosing to do so…
got any links to shoes you like?

Whatever shoes you want! I am wearing gold shoes, but I think that blue or red or pink are also great. For the most part they are not going to show that much – so its a great little tease to have some color peeping out of your dress. If you have doubts, see if you can’t find something on Zappos, as they have a great return policy. That way you can have them around for a while, and see how the idea grows on you.

I say go for it. I think people notice the dress MUCH more than the shoes, but I would get a kick out of noticing a splash of color peeking out from under a white dress.

i’m wearing navy blue satin flats from old navy with little white polka dots.

I word blue shoes with my wedding dress… it was one of our colors and also served as my "something blue." I loved my shoes, as well as the expression on everyone’s face when they saw them! I unfortunately don’t have a good photo of my shoes on that day, but if you want to wear fun shoes, I say go for it!

Love, love, LOVE colored shoes. Plus you end up with something you might wear again, which is always a plus. And I LOVED that wedding from stylemepretty. That bride was so awesome with her short dress, colored shoes and tattoos!!! I say go with it for sure!!

I’m also wearing turq shoes! They will match my sash. I had orginially wanted red shoes but when I got a dress with a sash I wanted the sash to be turq and not red. (wedding colors are red and turq)
I’m going the dying route so that they will match the sash.
My bridesmaid dresses are tiffany blue and a very light turq.

I think blue would be perfect. Not only will it help you to match your bridemaids, but it goes perfect with the tradition of the bride wearing blue at the wedding. In the past, the wedding dress was often blue, or with a blue hem. GO FOR IT!

I will be wearing these with my diamond white dress:
They are much bluer than pictured, but look stunning when the toes poke out below the skirt hem (had my first fitting, shoes and all, two weeks ago).
If I remember, I’ll bring a camera to my next fitting to take a picture of my feet for you so you get a better idea of what this looks like.
Blue is such a fun color, especially with white. I say go for it!
