I really liked #3 or # 5.. Go for sweetheart fronts and I like no sleeves on you. You look great!

It is interesting that you hated how dress 3 looked on you, b/c honestly before I read your notes- that is my pick, for you! I think it looks fantastic.

I think that if you like dress 3 you should definitely go for it or something similar. In my opinion it doesn’t make you look big and in fact looks best (and fabulous) on you after dress 1 (but only because of the chest area). I also would inquire if the top could be modified from halterneck. That way I am sure it would look flattering to your chest. Don’t give up!

I also have tired on dress 2! I would have wore it strapless. I loved loved the lace but then came to the conclusion that it was too plain afterall.

I had the exact same problem! I even put a deposit on a dress that I really didn’t like.  I probably went to about 10 or more different stores and tried on at least 60 dresses – I wanted that “ah-ha” moment. I felt like everyone was getting a little frustrated with me but I didn’t want to settle on a dress.  I then did some internet research and decided I would go shopping on my own.  That, to be honest, was the best decision.  I was listening to everyone else rather than listening to me.  Everyone was really supportive and lovely, but my opinion was being altered subconsciously by theirs.  I then tried on a dress by myself and absolutely LOVED it.  It was exactly what I had envisaged, it suited me.  I didn’t cry, or have that SYTTD moment, but I didn’t want to take it off and really felt spectacular in it.  I decided I would come back with friends and family to see it, but that I loved it, so no matter what was said I would get that one because it was just “me”.  They loved it (although my Maid/Matron of Honor prefered a dress I had previously tried on but said I looked lovely nonetheless) and so I got it.

Don’t be disheartened.  Three shops is not a tonne.  You will find your dress, it just takes time.  Go by yourself, it lowers the stress level, and listen to you.  If you don’t love it then move on. Once you have found something you love, then get other people to see it – but remember you loved it so that’s all that matters!
