You will. I tried on sooo many dresses…and then I walked into one store and the dress i have chosen was on a model right at the top of the stairs I had to walk up, and I tried it on along with about 8 other dresses, it was the last one I tried and the moment I saw it I knew it was the perfect dress 🙂

My advice is don’t allow the assistants to talk you into something you wouldn’t usually go for.

Oh girl, dont settle!! I did believe in that special moment but was starting to wonder after trying on 15 dresses. I almost settled on a dress that I thought was ‘pretty’. But man, I am so glad that I didn’t. I kept feeling ‘ok’ in those dresses. There was always something missing until I tried on the one! I didn’t cry, but I really did feel emotional when i tried on my perfect dress! I didn’t want to take it off. I have no doubt about it and am totally in bliss when I see it. It is an amazing feeling!  And I hope you find that feeling of no regret! Keep searching and be filled with hope! You will find that perfect dress if you don’t give up hope! Good luck!!

Don’t settle on one you don’t love… I too did not think I would get any kind of feeling, I’m super logical and not an emotional person like that. For me I just found a dress and I could not imagine not wearing it, and I can’t stop thinking about it. I put it on and was just stunned how much I loved it. No crying or anything, just super happy.

Until that point I was debating between two other dresses which were very pretty but I had some reservations about.

You will find it… Keep trying different styles!

Have you at least found a style of dress that looks good on your body and complements your wedding date/venue? I tried on at least 60 dresses but once I knew the style I wanted it made it much easier, and I didn’t waste time trying on dresses I wouldn’t like.

Most definitely! For some of us it isn’t as simple or as quick but eventually you will realize it when you have found the dress.

I shopped for over three months and tried on well over one hundred dresses and I had also given up hope. I had a discussion with the manager at a local boutique and realized that I needed to expand my horizons a bit, apparently I was just really trying on the same type of dress over over. When I put on MY dress I knew it was different. While I did battle with my share of dress regret (because there are SO many gorgeous dresses out there) I am so glad I stuck with the one that made me feel giddy.

Just keep an open mind at first and DON’T settle.

You’ll find it, don’t give up! When I got engaged in February, I bought like 10 different magazines because i was so excited about finding a dress. I had an idea in my head of the dress that I saw myself in, I was sure that I was going to find a picture and take it to the bridal salon and there would be the ballgown and everyone would live happily ever after.

Except when I flipped through all the magazines I hated literally every dress. And when I tried dresses on, they all felt wrong. I didn’t feel special and I looked at other brides in the salon and they were all kind of trying on the same mermaid or a-line or ballgown. Then I found the dress i literally would have never tried on it (it was so sparkly on the hanger haha). And it was about 5 sizes too big and couldn’t really be pinned back so it made me resemble a box. It was double my budget. And it went against the entire look I originally imagined. It was also nothing like a traditional gown. Except when I put it on, I felt beautiful. I didn’t cry but it just felt right.

Think outside the box, take a chance, and I’m sure your perfect dress is out there waiting for you.
