@Zaria: Don’t worry, after all you have to have a reason to pick a church. The reason I picked mine was because the priest at the other church nearby doesn’t let other people come in to do the wedding (and we wanted a priest who was a family friend of ours). So that’s not exactly deep either. Catholics are usually assigned to a church, and thus discouraged from shopping around for churches based on what’s prettier, but convenience is a key factor in wedding planning! And church beauty is meant to be appreciated.

UPDATE: I spoke to my church and they said YES they could ABSOLUTELY do my wedding but I will DEF have to convert… BUT they then they asked me if I had been married before and I said yes and they said I have to get the marriage annulled.. I told the pastor thank you VERY much for considering doing our ceremony, BUT I would rather find another non-catholic church because that is WAAAAY too much to do for 20 minutes of my life…
So the next day I found an absolutely beautiful lutheran church that is closer to my reception site.. woohoo!!
