- Wedding: July 2013
Hi ladies. New Bee here (please be nice!)
Mr CL and I are getting married in July next year. We’ve been engaged since 2006 and so have had plenty of time to think about it, but there’s never been an obvious first dance choice (there’s no “Our Song” or anything).
Last night we had a kind of joint brainwave that we could do a silly dance. Neither of us are trained dancers (except when I did ballet as a kid!) so no one will be expecting it if we have a choreographed dance. The thing is, we were thinking of roping in the groomsmen to walk across the dancefloor at the start and using Little Green Bag, like at the start of Reservoir Dogs…
Yeah, I know, really romantic! But my brother’s band is doing music, so I thought maybe I could get him to jig the words a bit? And then making up a dance to the lively bit in the middle of the song. We’d have some proper soppy love songs afterwards, but if everyone’s going to watch me dance, I think I’d rather have something interesting to show them! On the other hand, it might be pretty embarrassing….
What do you think – will I regret possibly making a fool out of myself?
