I think fake flower petals should be ok. Some places sell very realistic ones with a scent to them. I think Avon sells rose petals that you put in the bath tub. Maybe try some of those?

Fake petals are fine, no one will care everyone will probably be excited and crying haha. Are you getting married in a church? Check beforehand with them. Some churches have weird rules about throwing stuff outside the building. At my friend’s wedding they had to use bubbles for that reason!

My Future Sister-In-Law did this with fake petals in plastic bags (not the best look) and it was just fine! 🙂 Just make sure they know what to do with them.

I think it will be fine. I doubt that people will care or remember and it will look just as lovely in pictures.

Is this outside or inside? It’s litter if it’s outside. How would you be able to pick them up? I think the reason use real flower petals is because they disintegrate outside.

Flower petals are cheaper then you think. If you ask your florsist to save some that fall off the bouqets while they are being arranged. Other wise some companies freeze dry them and those are real and can break down on their own = not litter..

Costco has roses for pretty cheap too – 15.99 for 2 dozen.  I bought 6 dozen, made 32 boutineers and ripped off a TON of petals and still had a dozen and a half or so untouched.

I think silk ones would be fine, but if you decide to go with real ones, you could always order wholesale petals from the internet.  I just did a quick google search for “Wholesale rose petals”, and a lot of options came up.  Just another option….

Just to keep in mind: rose petals- real or fake! can be slippery…one more thing to worry about slipping on!
