I think your satin white dress looks more fancy.  I think the maxi dress will be elegant.. Yet casual.  Go with maxi.

Deff not too much! It would be beautiful, and so what if you’re a smidgen overdressed for the restaurant? It’s your wedding, be it in a courthouse or not! I think you’ll be fine.

I love the maxi dress! And I agree with @Fanciful: it’s your wedding, you’re allowed to stick out a bit!

That maxi dress is simple enough that you wouldn’t look overdressed in most places. I think it’s a lovely choice, and you’ll look uncomplicatedly elegant.

    Gahhh! Lara Bingle! My eyes!

Seriously, why not wear it? If you put on a wide belt or sash, maybe a blingy one, it would look more courthouse. You could take the belt/sash off later. You could also put more blingy accessories on later.

If it’s being worn to a red-carpet event, I can’t see how it wouldn’t be suitable for a fancy restaurant. Especially in September.

The only thing is – are you sure that dress is still available? That photo is from 2007, so the dress is six years old.

To be honest you look uncomfortable in the dress you already have, it may just be the photo but I say if you love the other one, then have it, who cares what anyone else thinks at either the courthouse or restaurant, rock the frock you love 🙂

Wear what you want!  I’m not a fan of the 1st dress, to be honest.

I think the ivory dress will be lovely for the courthouse and the dinner.
