@hannahmarie: Here they are! πŸ™‚ Engagement ring is .20-.22 & my wedding band is a 1/4th carat half eternity band. So around 1/2 carat for both.

I have a .50 princess cut and I think it is the absolute perfect size.  I’m an early childhod teacher and didn’t want a huge honker while I’m working so I went for quality over quantity and got an amazing diamond. Princess cuts also face up smaller than round, so I’ll post a pic to see. I also have a size 6.5 ring finger.

It really just depends what you want in a ring. Mine is a 1/4 carat marquise solitaire, and though it’s small and simple, it suits me perfectly. I have a size 6.5 finger.

And once you do get engaged make sure to show us pics! πŸ™‚

@galloway111: Not to thread jack or anything, but have you thought about what kind of band you want? πŸ™‚

My Mom’s solitaire is a half carat and I would say her ring size is maybe a 7 or so. I always thought it was bigger than that and my ring is 1 carat! I don’t think it is too small, no way!

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Well, I had been, and then the price of gold skyrocketed so I pushed it out of my mind, lol! I’ll post pictures when I find one πŸ™‚

@galloway111: haha Yea, I know! Well make sure you do, I can’t wait to see it! πŸ™‚

My diamond band was $203 after shipping & tax! Its 10k white gold. So that helps. πŸ˜› (I put the price because I think it was a great deal.)

I think 1/2 carat is an awesome size. Have to admit though- I love big rings. If you think it will be too small, it will be- you really have to try them on. As a PP mentioned, you will always want alittle bigger no matter the size. I say keep looking if you have doubts, you can fall in love with a million sparkly stones πŸ™‚
