So I have naturally straight hair and it has never held curl. I went for my hair trial and the stylist insisted my curls would fall and we tried an updo. I have always pictured my hair at least partially now so I really am having trouble deciding on an updo. I am thinking about going back for a 2 trial for a side pony tail .. do you ladies think the curls would hold? Would extensions help?
I am also concerned since the stylist seems to be pessimistic about my curls maybe she will not do everything she could to geth them to hold?
Some inspiration I found. I know it’s not a lot of curl but its alot more than my hair usually can manage.

I would trust the stylist – if your hair has never held curl and she has no hope that it will for this occasion, I’d come up with something else.

if your hair has never held a curl before, it’s highly unlikely that it will decide to hold one on your wedding. what methods have you tried for curling your hair? i’m a hair stylist, and i know for some people, curls done with a curling iron don’t hold as well as curls set with rollers.

My hair is baby-fine, and won’t hold a curl; but my extensions sure hold a curl! Almost too well. But seriously if we’re going fancy and I want my hair down & curly/wavey I use my extensions.

I second what @Ivorybuttons: has to say, if you can use extensions THEY will hold curl longer than your natural hair.
