No, I don’t think it’ll fit.  Sorry to disappoint, but 1.5 inches is a lot.

I’m afraid that you’ll be disappointed. If your hips are wider than your waist, it will be difficult to even pull it over your hips to get the dress on (imagining you step in-to it).

Can you put a corset back in it?? That might help make the dress work with your measurements.

I bought a la sposa dress that was supposed to fit exactly at my bust, waist and hips. They have a built in corset (usually) which helps, but I barely fit into it. I mean it fits, I can eat and sit ect. but if it were any tighter I would not wear it. I would not buy it. And unless you are fairly large and planning on losing a significant amount of weight before your wedding I don’t know that you can necessarily lose an inch and a half off your waist before the wedding.

I think the only way it will work is if it is a corset back, or if you alter it to a corset back

I’m betting that dress is really similar structurally to mine (fanal). You have some time if you plan on buying preowned, so I would wait and see if a better listing pops up. Plus the interior corset (that I’m betting is also in your dress) is way more flattering if you can do it on one of the smaller settings, which you won’t be able to do comfortably if it is too tight.

@SimplyMrsC:  I bought it preowned from a bride who had the same measurements as me. Same waist, hips, bust and height. I acutally need the bust taken in a little bit (because apparently I’m a smaller C than her). She had it altered to fit her, so the only alterations I’m having done are getting the bust taken in a tad and adding a bustle.

ETA: Here is a picture of the dress on me, I haven’t gotten it altered yet.

ETA: And in regards to eating, the corset part is stretchy, (I tried it on after a meal) so I’m not worried about it fitting after a meal. The outer material is not stretchy at all though. Its the same silk/satin stuff. (I would have to go home and check the label to tell you the exact name)
