@SimplyMrsC:  And I fell in love with one of the most popular dresses. My only problem was I found this perfect dress 20 months before my wedding so I have to make sure I don’t gain/lose weight which might happen if I don’t pay attention.

I really wouldn’t risk it, I have put about an inch on my waist since buying my dress and it only just does up with a fair bit of effort, and I would not be comfortable eating much in it, I haven’t put on that much weight, but 5lbs really made that difference in the dress going from perfect fit to a little bit snug, so that 1 and a half inches really does make a difference

I’m pretty sure the silk one is taffeta. Taffeta is a type of silk. So I wouldn’t make the decision based on what the sellers are listing the materials as. They are probably both silk-taffeta.

Not that wikipedia is the most trustworthy site but “Taffeta (play /ˈtæfɨtÉ™/; archaically spelled taffety) is a crisp, smooth plain woven fabric made from silk or synthetic fibres.”

@SimplyMrsC:  Oh ok. I don’t have a huge problem with taffeta but I know some brides don’t like it. I hope another silk one is listed in your size! And thank you for complimenting my dress :).
