@Willow1991:  Oh no, its totally normal- I think a lot of people don’t realize they slouch.  I’ll be siting at work and suddenly realize I’m hunched over all the time.  It helps me to consciously pull my shoulders back, but its hard to break the habit.

I agree with PP’s. It is definitely a posture thing. Practice standing up straight. Yoga can help. Also, whenever you can remember, practice flexing your abdomen for as long as you can. It’s a posture exercise, and after you do it for a while, you’ll be able to start doing it without even thinking about it. When you flex your abdomen, you automatically flatten it, and straighten your back!!!

Also, when you have a free second at the wedding, take a deep breath and roll your shoulders back. Keep them towards the back and it will help you stand up straighter.

Finally, walk with your hips, not your feet. Let your hips lead your body, not your shoulders. When you’re walking, imagine two strings, one attached to each of your hips. And some invisible force in front of you is tugging the left string, then the right… that will make you walk with your back straighter.

    Good Luck!

I think for the next couple of days you should pay attention to other women you see, how they stand, and how their bellies curve outward. I’m confident that most of them are more rounded in the abdomen than you are. Maybe noting that this is how women are shaped will help? I hate to think of you not wearing this dress or being self-conscious in it. You are beautiful.

You look great! I agree with some of the PPs – I think the problem is with your posture. Stand tall and proud – you are going to be a gorgeous bride!

I see bad posture more than a fat tummy!

Stand straight, use your core muscles, and voila!

Just make sure you don’t stand sideways at the reception!

Tuck your hips under you rather than rolling them out.

Firs of all you look amazing.

If the spanx make you feel better then wear them.  I can’t believe no one has mentioned alterations.  A seamstress will be able to help this.  It looks a tad snug across your thighs where it’s rippling and that’s probably accentuating this problem.  Have you had alterations yet?

Your shoulders are rolled forward in the first one, I honestly think that’s the only reason for the tiniest hint of “pooch”.

With that tiny waist, there’s no way anyone could think you’re pregnant! You look lovely.

Uhh, you’re beautiful and you don’t need Spanx. If you don’t feel like your tummy is flat enough, cut back on soda and salty foods. I would actually take pilates because it’ll make you feel great and tone you at the same time, even though I really don’t see anything wrong or see you as puffy. You’re gorgeous so stop being so hard on yourself. I had scroll back up to the topic to see what you were upset about after seeing your photos because I didn’t see anything wrong.

You look fabulous.  But I can also see what you’re talking about since you pointed it out.  Did you have alterations done on the dress?  It looks like they took in the sides, but didn’t re-work the front so you a little extra fabric there.  I don’t think tightening it in the sides/back will help except emphasize the problem.  They really need to work the front.
