yep – i agree about posture. stand up straight and suck it right in! i hold it in naturally ALL THE TIME because my mother forced me to do it when i was growing up. i don’t even think about doing it now!
if you suck your tummy in for the pics, you’ll completely forget about it. and if you ‘let it out’ when you’re dancing no one will notice!

As a Full Figured Gal (and someone who is also a Mom, so therefore has been Pregnant), I have to say you are waaaay over-thinking this.
You look absolutely stunning !!
There is no tummy, no pooch, or any other “physical” put-down that you or anyone else can come up with going on here.
You are a woman. Period.
That comes with boobs, hips, curves and a few “cuddly” bits.
I know a lot of women on the FULL FIGURED BOARD here on WBee who would KILL to look like that
Lol, truth be told, I NEVER looked like you did in these photos. I am curvy / chunky by genetics… I went from a little girl’s body at 11 to a big-breasted, curvy hipped body at 12.
Ya just gotta accept that you are who you are… and what everyone else sees… YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, in a GORGEOUS WEDDING GOWN.

@This Time Round:
i know you mean well, but it’s not very fair to tell someone to forget about a pooch just because there are other bigger girls out there
as a thinner girl, always being compared to the bigger girls is one of the hardest things because no one really actually ‘helps’ with advice.

You so do not look pregnant, not even early pregnant. I work at a maternity store, so that’s my expertise.

TO – lookingglass:
I respect your opinion and POV
Like others, I see someone who has a normal body… that may look differently in this dress when she puts on shoes and stands up straight
But as a woman who has been pregnant, I can’t say I see a POOCH on the Bride in Question
A “pooch” is a very distinct shape that effects the LOWER ABDOMEN (particularly for women who have had C-Sections… the skin hanging over the C-Scar / cut)
There is NO POOCH in any the photos that I saw that the Bride posted in this topic.

I think its just the dress and the cut of it!

That’s what the seamstress said before. The cut and fabric.

Sorry but just because there are lots of fat and overweight brides does not mean OP should settle for anything less than what she feels is perfect. Also saying she is super duper skinny is having a little dig in my mind. OP looks beautifully healthy and slim, not skinny.
OP I agree with everyone when they say it’s your posture. I think doing some core exercises will strengthen front and back muscles helping your posture. Not sure if spanks will work but go try it out if you feel you want to.

Stand up straight and pay attention to the way that the fabric bunches. I think it might be an alteration issue. If not, try a waist cincher. You look really beautiful and thin, but we’re all our own worst critics, so I understand that if you have even the tiniest bump, you’ll feel insecure. Seriously, though. you look gorgeous!

If nothing else the spanx will probably help you stand up straighter lol. Has anyone tried slouching in spanx? Not the most comfortable thing!!! Did you try it on with shapewear yet? I’m curious if it helped!!

No you don’t look pregnant!
But I normally suck in, stand straight, and keep my shoulders back. Especially when wearing any tight fitting clothes.
I think every woman in a natural, relaxed position will have a pooch of some sort.
Biologically speaking it’s there to protect a would-be fetus.

I know women have this issue of feeling “fat” or “big” or “huge”. stop, you look great, your stomach looks flat.

Ok, so I went back to the seamstress and stood up straight and it was a lot better. She told me that it was a combo of a couple things: 1) the fabric and nature of that cut of dress, 2) something about me being so thin that causes it to look that way. She also is going to take it in another half inch around the bum for a more rounded and fitted effect which i will help create a more balanced illusion. I shouldn’t have taken these photos in front of a white door.

are you wearing a bostie’ or a strapless bra? or nothing?
I got a bostie’ to tighten my “pooch”.
