I’m currently wrapping up my dress shopping — finally found a dress at David’s Bridal that I LOVE and believe is “the one,” but I haven’t officially purchased it because I’ll be home next week for Thanksgiving and I know it would mean a lot to my Mom to have her go shopping with me (we currently live 8 hours apart). There’s a store back home I’m going to check out, but I think my Mom would like to go to DB to see the dress on me before I purchase it, if I don’t find a dress I like even more at this other store.
My concern is that the consultant I worked with here in Wisconsin was fabulous, and if I do buy the dress, I’d like to make sure she gets the credit (commission) for it. If I try on this dress at the DB back home, will the consultant there get the commission instead since she’d be the last consultant I worked with before my purchase? If I wait to order it, could I request the “right” consultant get commission?
I know it’s an odd concern, but the 2 appointments I’ve had at DBs was with the same girl, and she helped me a lot in finding the right style for me and really listening to my concerns and desires for my wedding day. I just want to make sure that if my purchase is from DB’s, she is rewarded for her hard work in helping me.
