I have 3 Bridesmaid and a junior bridesmaid who is my Fi’s daughter. She is 10.
The girls had chosen short chiffon dresses from Davids Bridal but I wasn’t able to find a dress for the Junior bm at Davids Bridal that would look nice on her and she wanted to go long instead of short like the other girls.
She doesn’t like shopping and I figured I’ll purchase the dress for her online and we go from there. I didn’t really care for the style to be the same I just wanted for the dress to match with the other bm’s and for the junior to be happy. She has a bigger belly and I didn’t want to put her in anything tight either.
So I found this pretty dress at JJHouse and it just looked perfect for jbm. She loved it too so I ordered it. Paid a bit more to have it done in her exact measurements and on top of it paid extra duty charges etc…
Well the dress arrived today and jbm was so happy. She was twirling around in it too. She loves it. It fits her perfectly (as long as she doesn’t put on any weight LOL)
I still have one of the bm dresses at the house and brought the two together and the colours don’ t match 🙁
I am making a champagne satin sash that will have flowers and gems on it for all the girls including jbm so I am hoping that with the matching sash they will flow.
Do you think i can get away with having those two tones beside eachother ?
Bridesmaid or Best Man dress on left, JBM dress on right.

There is a significant color difference, but I don’t think it looks bad. She is the Junior Bridesmaid or Best Man anyway so a different shade/color isn’t so bad, people do that all the time and I think the sash will tie it all together in the end.

@KT_Hime: that’s what I’m hoping for. hope that the sash will bring everything together. Plus her dress is long and the others have short. It’s totally a different dress

They will be fine together. The important thing is that she likes it!

I think it will be fine. Besides, the color difference is much more obvious when the dresses are literally overlapped like they are in the photo- on two seperate bodies with different skin tones, it will look fine!

@allyouneedislove: I agree
And the sash will help it flow together.

I think it will look cohesive once you have the sashes.
And I gotta say it— she’s 10 years old… I think it’s wrong of you to talk about her belly and say you hope she doesn’t gain any weight.

@Lulume: I think they look great together! And it’s okay if she stands out a bit, she’s extra special since she’s your daughter-to-be!!! Love how the dresses go together

@lampshade: Actually those are her words as when she put the dress on. It fits perfectly and she said herself that as long as my belly doesn’t grow, but then she thought and said, it’s summer and I always am busy in summer and my clothes get bigger.
So, no i was not out of line
