Hi! I am SO confused right now.
So I booked a hairstylist for my wedding. I have a pro makeup artist so decided to budget on hair. I booked this lady after seeing our photographers blog with this album. It had the lady’s name and number so I called and asked if she would do my hair for my wedding. Her prices are SUPER cheap. So I agreed to pay her the day of my wedding. But after looking at the website of the salon, I am confused as to if they will do a good job, the photos on the website arent as good as the wedding album on the photographers site.
Here is the link on the photographers site:
Here is the salons website: http://salonexpressions.wixsite.com/expressions/gallery
This is the hair stylist that is available for 200$ more! I dont want to spend it but am so nervous now!
I am just so confused! I want hair for me, my daughter(flowergirl), and my 1 bridesmaid.
THhnks for all the help! I have 1 week to figure it out! Both are available on wedding day. I only have less than a week to decide what to do.

I think with no trial run???
I would be nervous

Can you not do a trial run? I’d be hesitant using someone for my wedding who I had no experience with. The pictures on the site look ok to me.. Nothing special but just typical up dos.

You’re going to really regreat this if you have bad hair on the day of your wedding. $200 is a lot, but in grand sceam of things it’s not. I would see if you cold do a trial run before bailing and booking with the other person.

I mean the pictures from the photographer’s website and the few pictures on their gallery look pretty similar. As long as that’s the look you’re going for I think you’ll be fine, but I’m curious too about a trial run. Are you not able to do one for some reason?

planningwife311 : yikes that hair is pretty juvenile, I wouldn’t rely on it if you haven’t done a trial. I have to agree with PP, 200 seems like a lot now, but if you don’t like your hair you’re going to hate your pictures – so that will be a huge waste of money.
It is worth it to invest in looking your best if you are putting a lot of money into capturing your day. I’m sure there are cheaper skilled stylists, but since you’ve done the research I’ll assume this is who is available. I’d go with them, sorry bee.

If it makes you feel any better:
On my wedding day my hair was done by someone I’d never met, and at a salon I’d never been to. The stylist also admitted he was hungover!
I came in armed with pictures and a detailed explanation. I also asked a few questions while he was doing my hair. It worked out. I’m not going to lie, my hair wasn’t 100% what I had envisioned…but I was still happy with it 🙂

Thanks guys! Well I will either do a trial run with this lady or get the better lady and not do a trial (she is that good lol).
Here is another place that could do it: They are all still avail.
I am SO confused .I spent so much $$ on a photog. and my makeup. If I get the good lady I will be spending 500$ on getting ready! 🙁

I think you should do a trial run with the lady that is a little cheaper that way she can get an idea of what style you want and a feel for your hair. I you decide to go with the other lady I would still suggest a trial run even though she is good. You want to make sure she can do whatever it is that you want and to help prepare for the big day.

I thought about doing that, but I called and the lady was super rude. So I may just go with the expensive lady. My husband will not like this though lol. They say wedding planning is hard for a reason lol!
