Can you not do a trial run? I’d be hesitant using someone for my wedding who I had no experience with. The pictures on the site look ok to me.. Nothing special but just typical up dos.

You’re going to really regreat this if you have bad hair on the day of your wedding. $200 is a lot, but in grand sceam of things it’s not. I would see if you cold do a trial run before bailing and booking with the other person.

I mean the pictures from the photographer’s website and the few pictures on their gallery look pretty similar. As long as that’s the look you’re going for I think you’ll be fine, but I’m curious too about a trial run. Are you not able to do one for some reason?

planningwife311 :  yikes that hair is pretty juvenile, I wouldn’t rely on it if you haven’t done a trial. I have to agree with PP, 200 seems like a lot now, but if you don’t like your hair you’re going to hate your pictures – so that will be a huge waste of money.

It is worth it to invest in looking your best if you are putting a lot of money into capturing your day. I’m sure there are cheaper skilled stylists, but since you’ve done the research I’ll assume this is who is available. I’d go with them, sorry bee.

If it makes you feel any better:

On my wedding day my hair was done by someone I’d never met, and at a salon I’d never been to. The stylist also admitted he was hungover!

I came in armed with pictures and a detailed explanation. I also asked a few questions while he was doing my hair. It worked out. I’m not going to lie, my hair wasn’t 100% what I had envisioned…but I was still happy with it 🙂

I think you should do a trial run with the lady that is a little cheaper that way she can get an idea of what style you want and a feel for your hair. I you decide to go with the other lady I would still suggest a trial run even though she is good. You want to make sure she can do whatever it is that you want and to help prepare for the big day.
