Not at all!   Your wedding will be unique and that in itself will make it yours.

I at one time had 7 bridesmaid and my Love didn’t even have a best man.  He still doesn’t.

I’m in the opposite direction: I could have had 4 bridesmaids, or 12 (once I stepped out of the group of 4, it would have been impossible to pick any friends over the others). I opted for 4. Fiance invited 10! It’s unlikely they’ll all be able to come (most are traveling from the UK), but still. We are probably going to be mismatched. Who cares! Honest, no one will mind one bit 🙂

For the ceremony the Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man do not need to have anyone walk them down the aisle.  Every wedding I have been to has always had the groom and his Groomsmen walk to the alter from the side so they are just waiting as the BM’s walk down the aisle.  You could go this route if you don’t want it to look funny.  I would also announce them individually.

No way is this weird! Real life isn’t symmetrical, and you and your fiance’s wedding attendants don’t need to be, either. It’s nice that you’re only having your closest friends stand with you! Most weddings I go to nowadays have uneven numbers and no one even notices.
