I really want to make my wedding colours mother of pearl and seagreen/mint.
It has been SUCH a mission to try and find a mother of pearl dress so I’ve FINALLY found this one…and love it. I just wonder if it will suit my dress at all? It has a sweetheart neckline too which helps 😛
Will appreciate your vote/feedback on how if needed I can make it match. I’m having a Maison Kas replica as my wedding dress so thought I could incorporate some mother of pearl sequins in my dress if needed.
Venue also below.

I adore your dress but I am not a fan of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. It reminds me too much of a homecoming dress I would have seen girls wear in high school but then the illusion neckline makes me think of a dress for an older woman that doesn’t want to show off her cleavage. I vote to keep shopping. based on the venue and your dress, I would move away from sequins which are going to come off harsh in photos and move towards softer fabrics like chiffon which are going to be more ethereal and remind people of the clouds in that gorgeous view.

@MatrixDonna: I don;t think they match, your dress is soft and flowy and so nice with that lace, sequins are so… harsh.
I’ve seen that dress, FI’s cousin wore it to her year 12 formal :S
I do think the colour would be gorgeous though!

I love both dresses but not together. The style and feel of them don’t match.

I love both dresses but not together. I agre the the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses look very young. Have you tried Donna Morgan she has a lovely shade of mint.
you can get a swatch from weddington way

Thanks so much for everyone’s replies. Being that I want my wedding colours to be mother of pearl and seagreen/mint I’ve come up with a solution based on all of your feedback that I think will be amaaaazing so thanks so much.
The solution is to have a mint chiffon overlay made for the dress – exactly as in this picture 🙂 This way it softens the whole look while still keeping the beautiful mother of pearl!! So stoked xx

First off… I LOVE your dress and venue!!
I think the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress you found is just the wrong color. It’s a very pretty dress, but I think will look really odd next to your dress. Color and style wise, they just don’t do together. What about a minty green dress with pearly white sash? Your gown has a very romantic feel to it. Maybe go for something flowy for BM?
