Um I was 4 months pregnant when I got married and I fit in my dress fine and you couldn’t tell was pregnant. Was I tired sure, but you know what I would have been tired either way.

There is NOTHING wrong with having a wedding while pregnant…

To each his/her own! A lot of times the baby is a surprise and the couple wouldn’t want to cancel the wedding on such short notice. With all of the deposits and whatnot, it wouldn’t make sense financially for some couples to cancel or postpone.

Meh, I don’t think it’s a problem. The bride may be a little tired and may be showing on her wedding day, but that’s fine as long as she’s cool with that! 🙂

I hope I’m not pregnant on my wedding day, but if I am, I am. I’d probably only cancel the wedding if I’d be ~8 months or more. Why are you so against it? Just because the bride may be tired and have to pick another dress? That seems like her decision, not the guests’.

If I got pregnant, I’d rather get married while pregnant than wait till after. But it’s really a personal decision and there’s a lot of potential reasons to do it both ways.

It would be an uproar in my circles, primarily because all of the women getting married are 24-26 years old and no one has had a child yet, period, much less before a wedding. I admit it would be weird to me since all of my friends are super careful and planning their lives around graduate school. The two couples I know who are closest to having kids: one couple has been married for 3-4 years, ages 26 and 27 an. Still 1-2 yrs from kids. The other couple just got engaged. If couple #2 got pregnant before the wedding, I think they would have a courthouse wedding and a anniversary celebration after the baby on their 1 year.

I would not hold the wedding unless I was REALLY showing. Otherwise I would be ok with it.

My sister got married when she was pregnant with her first. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t work out in the long run. (I think part of it had to do with her and the child’s father being “rushed” at the time.)

Fiance and I were already long engaged before I got pregnant and had even set a date. After it was confirmed that I was pregnant, we orignally considered getting married before I started to really “show”. However, for insurance reasons it was deemed more practical for us to wait until AFTER the baby was born to get married. (Baby’s due in December, so I’m guessing it’ll likely be January or February before we marry.)
