I would like to get dressed up and have 1 engagement photo taken…probably by a friend or the self-timer.  We wouldn’t do anything with a whole roll of pictures of ourselves.  1 is good for us 🙂

The pro to engagement photos is if you are nervous about getting photos taken on the wedding day it will prepare you for it.  The con is if you don’t really want the photos or aren’t into them, it will show.  And it won’t be much fun for your photographer.  If you can go into it with a positive attitude it’s worth taking a look at even if your package didn’t include it.

Only reason we did them is my FI’s friend is an amateur photographer and offered to do them for free.  We already have a photographer for the ceremony and sunset pics(part of package we bought from the company that is doing our beach wedding) but his friend is gonna take all our pics at our reception for free as well as his gift to us.

Only thing I’ve done with our e-pics is put them on my fb and show people.  We didn’t do save the dates either.  I might get some prints of them to give to my parents and to put in a frame at home and that is likely it(I don’t have prints, his friend took the pics and sent them to me via fb).

We have been married for 1 1/2 years and we did not get any done….and now I am having regrets…I just wished we had any photos…even just ones that my friends or family took.

We didn’t do them. We had a pretty quick engagement and even had a photog friend offer to do them for free but we just ran out of time where it was more of a stress to find the time to get them done than anything. I was fine with my decision because even though they are probably fun and cute for most people I didn’t see the absoulte need for them. Honestly, I realy only see them as a another album on facebook. Who really needs that many pictures of themselves around the house? If you can afford it, and have the time then go for it but if you don’t i don’t think it is something you will regret later on down the line.
