my fiancé and I aren’t going on a honeymoon right away. Because I’m moving from CA to WV right after our wedding and because he’s the only one working right now. We oped to not go on one right away. We also have my cousin’s wedding to go to a few months after ours so we’re not rush.

odichinma:  My fiancee and I are going to Columbia for our honeymoon. Its a place we both want to visit and has one of the top 10 beaches to visit in the world so we said why not?

I’m not African American, I’m African African & I will not be going to a honeymoon. I don’t see the point really.  My man, I & our son have travelled a bit & we’ll just continue to go on our trips without them being ‘honeymoon’. But I don’t think it’s a waste of money.

We did a mini-moon, but we have booked our one year anniversary trip to an all-inclusive in Cancun for June. We paid for our wedding ourselves, so we didn’t have a lot extra after the wedding to go right away. DH’s dad gifted us with our B&B trip so that was nice.

odichinma:  im already married (october last year) and we went on honeymoon 1 week after our wedding – we stayed at an all inclusive 5* resort in Mauritius. it was paradise.

we saved damn hard for 2 years to be able to pay for the wedding ourselves – the honeymoon was a MUCH needed holiday and an amazing start to the rest of our lives together. after the excitement of the wedding it was lovely to be able to kick back and be pampered for 2 weeks rather than settle back into normality straight away.

odichinma:  We weren’t going to do anything big, just stay in the area of the wedding (on the coast an hour away from where we live) but we realized it was cheaper to travel elsewhere, so we are going to Colonial Williamsburg! 🙂

Me and the future hubs will probably be doing a 5 star in Mayan Rivera for our honeymoon. I’m big into travelling though and after this year worth of wedidng planning stress I think we’ll both deserve the vacation!

We are planning a honeymoon, but it likely wont’ be immediately after the wedding. We will be traveling for the wedding so will likely stay there for a few extra days. Then plan a bigger trip a few months later.

Pretty much all my friends have done it this way and have no regrets.

We are going to Europe for 2.5 weeks for our honeymoon, leaving the day after our wedding.  For me personally, the honeymoon is more important then the wedding (aside from of course the marrying him part haha).  We barely take nice vacations (last one was when we got engaged in June 2013), and we both have always wanted to visit Europe (Greece in particular for me where family is).

We are doing a weddingmoon. We will get married on one of the early days on our 10 day trip to Bora Bora. Since we’re not paying for a wedding we decided to do a once in a lifetime trip!

Absolutely! I travel a lot and SO got his passport recently and enjoys our little couple trips. We’re hoping to go to an Exotic place for 2 weeks or so. Luckily for us his parents are traditional(like mine) and will be paying for the trip. I enjoy planning trips(i take MONTHS to decide on destination and book) and im looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my New Hubby!!
