This is what I did.

The day, the dress
The bride, the groom
The joy, the tears
Will all come so soon

Professing true love
To my husband-to-be
With family and friends
All watching me

I hope the sun will
Be shining down,
Keep your fingers crossed
That I’ll fit in my gown…

But there’s just one more thing
that there needs to be…
and that’s to have you
Standing with me!

Will you be my bridesmaid?

Here are some other poems…

POEM 1

Through the in’s and out’s
And thick and thin
No matter what’s happened
There you’ve been

You smile when I need it
and listen when I grieve,
You hug me when I cry
and blow boogers on your sleeve

I treasure you friend
More than diamonds or gold,
and I promise I will
when we’re saggy and old

So please stand by my side
when I say “I DO”
for I wouldn’t be me
without a friend like you

POEM 2

You have always been there, more than just a friend.
You know just who I am and everywhere I’ve been.

You’re the one who I can turn to, any hour of the day.
Seems, I only have to think of you and you’ll be on your way.

No matter where life takes me, no matter where I roam.
When I’m with you my friend, my heart feels right at home.

So on my wedding day, I will need you more than ever.
Please be my maid of honor now…. and my friend forever.

I actually went to Hallmark and they have all these awesome cards to choose from and then they will customize the color, font, card type.  They were only like $1.25 a piece, which was great.

For my personal attendants I sent them this poem on a card:

The time has come for Andy and I to join our lives as one,
We look forward to our wedding day filled with family, friends, and fun!
To make that day more special and create memories that will last,
There is one favor from you, my friend(or you can change to best friend, sister, future SIL) that I would like to ask:

Will you be my Personal Attendant?

For my Bridesmaids/ Matron of Honor I sent them this poem on a card:

It’s hard for me to believe
that in just a little while,
Andy and I will be
walking down the aisle.

And nothing would give me
more joy & pride,
than to have you
right there by my side.

Will you be my Bridesmaid/Matron of Honor?
