Hello ladies! So my plan all along has been to officially ask my ladies to be in my wedding via the beautiful written word. I have been waiting for the opportune moment (the only one I’ve asked so far is MOH) to ask- and I’ve found it.
I’m going to give my ladies each a letter at my engagement party asking them to be my bridesmaid. My question for you is, what exactly should these letters contain? I get the general gist and flattery- but other than that?
Also, if any bees have done this in the past, could you please attach pics if you have any?
Thanks a ton ladies!

Nothing on this one yet? I know some of the bees found stuff on Etsy… did anyone hand make their Bridesmaid or Best Man invites?

I made each of them cards, and then wrote them an individual handwritten note inside. I also included a card with wedding details and one with contact information since they don’t all know one another.

I will completely admit that the idea for the card was not mine. I saw a seller on Etsy made similar cards, but I was not a fan of the way they were worded/the colors. Also, I knew I could make them myself much cheaper than they were selling them for.

oooohhh i <3 them though!! I am seriously considering highjackage of your cards which you highjacked from the Etsy seller!
I just want something special. I have plenty of time (2 weeks+) to make them.

I grabbed some supplies from Michaels and made these simple cards to ask my maids. The front was just made using a stamp and pearl decoration and the inside says “I promise the dress will be fabulous”. I didn’t take a picture of it but the back said Save the Date 5/1/2011.
I used a metallic chocolate brown envelope to go with the invites. They two less than two hours, but all my girls thought they were so cute!

That one is super cute too!
I am on the fence between the two designs- minimalist vs. the lengthy first one. I had better decide quick though. I am buying my supplies this weekend when I go out and buy my decorations for our Engagement Party next weekend 🙂

hehehehe, I might do this later as a “just for fun” since I’ve already asked to girls to be my bridesmaids. they were thrilled and were even more excited when I told ’em they get to keep their bouquets!!! (they’re ribbon roses, so why not??? it’s a great little gift for ’em…)
love the ideas! though I think I’d have to go with something that doesn’t include a stamp! I have two kids that would see stamp, take stamp, and stamp everything in sight!!!! LOL!
