So, I have asked all of my bridesmaids to be in the wedding and they are all super excited, they are all girlfriends, between my fiance and I we have no close female relatives. My fiance’s groomsmen, however, will be all family, his two brothers, my brother and a thisclose friend who might as well be a brother. So it’s kind of a given. In talking to my future mother-in-law the other day, she said that she had been talking to my fiance’s brother, and talking about how he’d need to rent a tux and the brother said, "well am I even in the wedding?" She said, "of course you are!" and he said, "well I haven’t heard anything about it!" So, come to find out, my fiance hasn’t asked any of the guys to be in the wedding, he just assumes they all will be since they’re all family. But I think he should ask them! I’m going to formally ask my girls with gifts and cards that say, "will you be my bridesmaid?" and think he should do something similar. What are some ideas he could do? Cards are waay to mushy for him, so I thought (for the ones who drink) 6-packs that say, "If I promise there will be free booze at the wedding, will you be my groomsman?" and then put a SLIGHTLY more sentimental saying inside, but what should he do for the ones who don’t drink?

I was going to suggest my fiance take his guys out to a hockey game and ask them while they are all out together, but I love Mrs. Lovebirds idea! Thanks for sharing mrsbee! That is amazing!

For the non-drinking guys, what about cufflinks? I’m sure there are cute ones all over etsy.
If you want to go the more casual/humorous route, T-shirts from threadless or zazzle are pretty funny, and you can even submit your own designs to personalize the shirts.

I like the t-shirt idea…I’m just looking for something really casual, and fun AND inexpensive! (My man is the most low-maintenance man I’ve ever met!)

my fiance got silver beer steins for his groomsmen. i believe from things remembered. they all were engraved with the guy’s name and his "position" in the wedding cabinet. for example — best man, vice president; groomsman #1, secretary of treasury.
the crew FLIPPED out and they still use them. 🙂
