We’re not, which makes me a little sad. I’m tired of lobbying for it though. Mom seems to think it’s a waste, and we won’t ever be there anyway.

We’re doing a sweetheart table and having our bridal party just sit at regular tables. That way they can sit with their friends.

Do a sweetheart table and let your bridal party sit with their friends and dates. I think that if the B&G dont have their own table, they never get to eat and just relax for a few minutes. I also think that sitting a round table might be hard to do. Who do you sit with? His parents or yours? If both, then grandmas, brothers, sisters, etc all can’t fit and feel left out. In the end, there was too much drama and sitting by ourselves was by far the best idea.

We’re doing a sweetheart table too!  I actually like the floor plan set up better with it, and our wedding party will be at their own table with their guests/partners.  I’m actually really excited about having our own meal time together – granted I’m sure we wont really have “alone time” at the table haha…oh man, I can hear the glasses clinking already!

I originally wanted a sweetheart table but I didn’t like the idea of the bridal party being scattered. So we decided to do a banquet table but have our bridal party’s SO sit with us as well.

I don’t know what we’ll end up with. If we did the banquet style with bridal party plus SOs, it’d be a table for 18 people. Um…I think the only way that could get pulled off would be to have 9 on each side of the table. Is that even possible….to have 9 people’s back to the room?

For those of you doing a sweetheart table….is it still being set up at the “head” of the room, or is it a table blending in around the other tables? I think I would want to amongst the crowd and not on display…with or without the bridal party.

I think we are going to do a sweetheart table and then place the bridal party with their plus one, and other friends. I went to a wedding recently that my Fiance was in, and don’t get me wrong it was a lovely wedding, but some people were upset that they didn’t get to sit with their SO, and I’m not picky about it but I don’t want to upset anyone or make anyone uncomfortable, so I am just going to sit them with their plus one, so it’s not akward for the plus one, haha.

We’re going to do something like this in the middle of the room with the other round tables surrounding us. I hate the idea of a sweetheart table because you’re up there for people to stare at like you’re in a zoo or something.

We’re just sitting at a normal round table with our bridal party and their spouses.

All these people are coming together to celebrate WITH us, so I want to spend as much time with them as possible. The Guy and I sit together at dinner every night, and we will be just the two of us for our whole honeymoon, so I really don’t understand the point of the sweetheart table…I’d rather sit with, celebrate with, and laugh with my closest friends.

The pic below is what our sweetheart table looks like at our actual venue. It absolutely does not look like a “zoo” with the couple on display. The bride and groom are facing the room and are close enough to be approachable and part of the action, yet secluded enough to actually have time to eat.

Yes we are going to. Our bridal party + dates will be seated at the two tables nearest us. 🙂

We’re doing a sweetheart and the Bridal Party will be seated at the first few tables closest to us.  Almost all of them are married or have serious SOs, so we want them to be able to sit together.
