@Jess1483:  Well I don’t have a child, so maybe I’m not hyper senstive.  I enjoy a good night alone.  I can sprawl out on the couch, whatch whatever chick show I want and snuggle with my dog on the couch.

But I have no qualms about staying in my house alone.  It’s 2 story, 6 bd, 3ba, so kind of roomy.

Darling Husband works 24 hour shifts, so I’m pretty used I staying by myself at night. It makes me feel better to have my dog with me, even though she would probably just lick an intruder to death. She does have a pretty intimidating bark though.

I doubt I’ll ever be here alone; my husband would have no reason to not come home at night… I, on the other hand, stay at my mom’s 3 times a year due to work….

But I don’t think I’d have a problem with it.  I actually like being alone.

my apartment security is solid, I feel really safe here. but as for a house? I’ve seen enough suspense movies to get weirded out by being in a house alone. but I’ll still do it anyway. for the most part I’m not really that scared.

@Jess1483:  I don’t think you’re crazy, if you aren’t used to it, but I have no issue staying alone in our house.  In fact my husband is leaving soon for a two-week business trip.  We both travel for work and leave the other to fend for themselves, that’s just life (for us).

We do have a dog, and I think she might bark at someone (maybe, she’s pretty mute), but she’s mostly just company.

@Rachel631:  Um, a cat breaking into my house would scare the shit out of me, and foxes that eat babies?!  We’re moving.

I have lived alone for much of my adult life – even when I lived in the woods and the nearest neighbor lived over a mile away. I still spend a lot of time alone as FH works long hours and our work schedules are very different. I ENJOY alone time!

@Jess1483:  I have and can stay by myself but I don’t think you’re crazy. Not too long after we moved to our new city, my husband had to travel a lot for work and I had plenty of  scaredy-cat nights when I woke up with my heart pounding at every noise, so, I get where you’re coming from.

@Jess1483:  I didn’t read all the comments but wanted to say that I know how you feel! In fact, my SO is away for business right now, for a couple of days and I have my brother come over so I won’t feel too lonely. My brother isnt going to stay overnight and we are living in a flat but I totally get you! 🙂
