I was getting concerned about the small amount of time between the ceremony and the reception for pictures since we aren’t doing a first look, and I asked my photographer if we might do a day-after shoot. She actually volunteered to do this with no charge, and promised about the same amount of pictures as we did for e-pics (around 100). I am really excited! As I plan to wear my hair in a low-lauren-conrad hairstyle for the wedding, I am thinking I’ll change it up and wear it down with loose curls for the day after session. I am not sure if I’ll wear a veil or not, or what assessories I will put back on.
Anyone else doing anything similar?
We aren’t doing trash the dress though, as I will most likely donate my dress to brides against breast cancer afterwards.

We will be doing this although it won’t be the day after, more like a few weeks later. It will be a totally different look and style and I am stoked.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We originally scheduled our day after shoot for the day immediately following the wedding, but had to re-schedule because of family issues. We loved our shoot, and I would definitely recommend doing one. it’s nice to know that if you don;t get all of the shots you want on your wedding day, you’ll still have another opportunity. Here’s my favorite photo from our day after shoot-

We’re doing the same thing for the same reasons as you. I remember a post by Mrs. Taco about hers, and the photos were GORGEOUS…I think she even said she had mostly day old makeup and hair too :).
Not sure what I’ll do with my hair, I’m wearing it down and curly for wedding so if it doesn’t look too bad I might keep it similar for day after. I’ll just do my makeup on my own.
