My father doesnt, nor has he ever really wore one (he broke a lot, ha).  FI doesnt really like the idea of wearing one but knows it is important to me.  He will wear one, except when he is at work there is a lot of lifting required in his job and I agree it may be uncomfortable/ I worry about it getting caught.

My Fiance cannot wait to wear his ring! However, we will see what happens when we finally get married.

My husband has a ring, but due to work related issues (He flies on planes for the Navy) he cannot wear it while working. So, he only wears it when he isn’t flying or when we’re out socially.

My Fiance won’t be having a wedding ring, just me. He doesn’t like wearing jewellery or rings (and he’s been married before briefly and had one so he’s talking form experience). Doesn’t fuss me. Not a fan of jewellery on men though generally so maybe that is why.

@Lizabean:  my husband wears a wedding ring, it’s very similar to my yellow gold channel set diamond wedding ring but heavier and with less carat weight.

@Hyperventilate:  Is this a US military health and safety issue? I ask because I used to work in a military workshop, and we were allowed to wear wedding and engagement rings, a single stud in each ear, and a single piece of small, modest religious or cultural jewellery (for example, a Sikh bracelet).

Mine does except for when he’s jumping (skydiving) because it could be dangerous if it gets caught. And even then he wears it if he won’t be jumping that much.

Yes, he wears his every day. I gave him the option to not wear one but he wanted to wear it.

Both of our dads wear their wedding rings and still wear the original ones they got when they were married. My fiance will also wear his all the time.

I’m not engaged, but I don’t expect my SO to wear it at work (he’s an electrician), but I do expect it when we’re out.  He definitely isn’t a jewelery person, so it will be amusing to watch him get used to wearing one.

Fiance wants to wear one, but my parents have been married for over 30 years and neither of them have worn a ring for the past 5 years or so. Works for them.

@LibrarianTellsAll:  My Fiance is the same way!

My dad can’t wear his to work so he only wears his when my parents go somewhere nice.  My Fi is the opposite, he picked out his wedding band around the same time we went shopping for engagement rings. I am currently waiting for it to arrive in the mail, and he keeps asking me when it will get here so he can wear it right away.
