Last night was very ver sweet. T and I were having a date night hoping I wouldn’t get paged. (my son is visiting a relative for the weekend for a child’s birthday party and I’m on call at the hospital)
Lo and behold, he turns on the tv and we go about picking out a movie for us to watch. He exclaims…"Hey honey, there’s one movie I think you’d like..it’s supposed to be funny and something you might like."
He suggests we watch "Bride Wars". I am like this> I asked him "Would you really want to watch that?" He says yes. He said it looked like something I would find funny and then he reminded me that last year he DID watch Sex in the City with me too.
So we watched it and laughed our butts off. And of course, he asked wierd questions during the movie like "did/do your friends act that way when they get married?" I said no of course (I got nice peeps!) He asked me if my bff and I (she and I got married within 6 mos of each other when I married my xh) had any bride wars or if I knew of anybody who had them and I said "Nope".
So there ya have it. He’s got two chick flicks now under his belt. SITC and Bride Wars. We’ll see if he has the guts to ever watch "Mama Mia" with me though!!! lmao!

Mr. Powder Puff LOOOOVES chick flicks! One of his favorites is Father of the Bride, as well as The Notebook, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, When Harry Met Sally… the list goes on!
I find it really cute, and he’s totally not ashamed!

The Mr is really good and will watch most of them with me, he doesn’t like the serious ones too much, although I can get him to watch them sometimes, but he has no problem watching the funny ones with me. Now we need to watch Bride Wars….

That’s awesome! Mr T is usually good about watching chick flicks, but usually draws the line at musicals (although he did watch Hairspray)! I even watch the occasional "50 explosions and a 30 minute car chase" movie with him 😉

One of our fave movies which is a borderline chick flick is "The Heartbreak Kid". We love that movie!!!! Makes us giggle like kids.

I don’t really like chick flicks myself and don’t watch many, but on the rare occasion that I want to see one, my Fiance will usually go along with it. For example, he knows I’ll probably want to see "My Sister’s Keeper" because I loved the book. He also knows that I’m very upset with the casting of the film but eager to see how it’s done. He’ll probably want to watch it with me just so he can better understand my opinion of it afterward.

Mr. M is actually very good about it. He is extremely laid back so if i ever suggest one he willingly watches it. Hes a big fan of previews, so we have to watch em, and he actually says oh that looks really good to a lot of em.

Hahaaa! Absolutely not! He’s a super sweetie about lots of things but that’s where he draws the line….so I either go to chick flicks with my girlfriends or watch them at home when he’s at work or out on his bike. 🙂
@Belle – Momma Mia is frickin’ AWESOME! If you like ABBA at all you MUST watch it!!!!

We have an eye for an eye policy. It was PAINFUL for me to sit through Watchmen and it was equally as painful for him to sit through Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (who am I kidding, that one sucked for me too lol).
We’re mostly on the same page for movies, but if I’m dying to see a girlie movie and we’re together– He’ll go knowing that the new [insert graphic novel turned movie here] will be coming out in 6 months time! 🙂

He’s pretty good about it, but I usually end up having to watch a ‘d$$k flick’ so things are even.

haha..he won’t sit down and "watch it" with me, but he’ll sit and read something while i watch it. ( but i catch him looking up at the screen sometimes ) 🙂

I don’t actually watch chick flicks. I know my Fiance would come anyways to make me happy.
I’m like a guy like that. I get super excited to see Transformers!

Yayyyy chick flicks! =) I am blessed with a fiance who will watch anything with me. True, he prefers blow-em-up action movies (which I will also watch with him). And he has suggested that we watch some of the girlier movies we’ve watched together. =D
(We also watch cartoons. Whee!)
