I really like my new last name. And it sounds great with my first whch is an added bonus.
owever, my new initials will be: B. A. D.
It is not a big deal to me, as long as I don’t get any block printed monograms on tote bags or anything.

I went from ONLY ONE IN THE UNITED STATES (literally, any of the S__’s were my family!) to a super common, generic, but easy to spell Irish last name. Boooooo

My maiden name was never in my life mispronounced. My married name gets mispronounced EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It’s such an odd name that you can’t even tell what nationality it is.

My new initials will be SOS. Which is funny, since I work in emergency management. 🙂 It’s also the title given to the head honcho at work, which I aspire to be. One day I just want to initial something SOS SOS. 🙂

I’d be going from a Hungarian, always mispronounced last name to a very plain one. Like Smith plain. However I love my weird last name! I am really proud of it and will be keeping it.

I will be going from an easy to pronounce name that never worked on online forms (due to punctuation) to a very easy to pronounce and spell name. But it’s extremely Italian, which may confuse people. I don’t look Italian at all and neither does my Fiance.

Vi King is an awesome name! 🙂
Hahaha! I love that! 🙂
I have a “bird” last name and my SO has a “bird” last name too – think Jack Sparrow (but we’re different birds! lol). I’ll be keeping my maiden name and adding his when we marry so my married name will have two birds in it 🙂

Thankfully I’m going from Poole (literally like ‘swimming pool’) to Harmon. Welcoming the change!

Not really. Although I was talking with a friend who was saying it was a downgrade from my maiden name. She feels pretty much anything (except a variation in spelling) would be a downgrade from her name too.
I used to work with a girl who married someone named Licko. She went by her maiden name at work–teaching 7th grade.

I’m totally excited for my new last name.
My current last name is VERY uncommon, I’ve never met anyone else in my life that shared my last name that weren’t family. It’s also pronounced wrong ALL THE TIME. Drives me crazy.
I’ll be taking his last name, which is VERY common, and very easy to spell and pronounce. I can’t wait!
