My ring bearer is my almost 9-year-old brother…he was SO insulted when he found out the rings on the pillow would be fake.  So…securely tied on they shall be!

My younger son is our ring bearer and as much as I love him he is the clumsiest kid in the world (he’s 6 now will be 7 for the wedding).  Plus our wedding is outside on a deck near a river.

Needless to say the pillow will have fake rings on the pillow and the GM/MOH will give us the rings.  I’m not risking my son tripping down the stairs (there are stairs before the altar) and losing the rings.  Even if they arer attached to the pillow my luck the tie will come undone.

@laika: I’m doing that too! I think we’ll ask one of our parents to hold the rings for us since we won’t have a ring bearer. Fiance was a pirate fan as a child & I thought it would be a cute way to pay homage to him. Plus, it keeps me from going crazy trying to choose between all the gorgeous pillows on etsy!

This is only about 4 inches long, so super small. It was hard finding something that didn’t look like a children’s toy lol, but I love the little rhinestones 🙂

We are having a ring bearer but he won’t be carry the rings.  We have concerns about him being responsible for the rings since he’s only 4.  More importantly though, I thought it would be rather clumsy if he had the rings and then needed to hand them off to the Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man.  I’m too worried about them fumbling around with the knot on the pillow so we will just have him carry an “empty” pillow.

Well with my ring bearer only being 2 years old at the time of the wedding, and he LOVES to dance to any music, I doubt he will be holding the rings…and whats funny is the best man is usually next in line to hold the rings…..BUT i wouldnt trust him with a bugs life, he is going through a wild party stage LOL  sooooo I guess it will be my maid of honor.

My ring bearer is 6 he’s been in lots of weddings and knows the process. I’ll let him carry our rings.. Its in a church so how far could they go? Besides they’re insured! Guess I’ll see what happens!

My nephew carried a “symbolic” pillow down the aisle. He was just 2 so I didn’t want to worry about our real rings on there and I completely forgot to stick some prop ones on there. No one noticed, not even me. Everyone focused on the absolutely adorable 2 year old in a tux! 🙂

I wouldn’t want a really young kid carring our rings… Even though we have the ring insured, it could ruin the flow of the wedding day if lost.
