I voted $100-$150. We don’t do destination bachelorette parties in my circle so what I pay pretty much covers just staying local. If it were for a close friend I would be willing to spend more but I normally like to keep these under $150. After you figure in everything else you’re going to be paying for to either participate in or attend said wedding, spending much more than that seems like a bit much.

I think that expecting your friends to be willing to go away or do something that costs more than $100 isn’t reasonable unless it is 100% completely your idea. I originally wanted to go to a concert a few hours awar, but realized it would be really bad etiquette of me to ask my friends to spend a bunch of money on the hotel and concert tickets. Are you a Bridesmaid or Best Man or the bride? If you’re the bride, I hate to break it to you but you’re not the one who plans your bachelorette party!

Yeah…there’s no way I would pay $210 to do a spa day. Sorry – that to me would be a lot. Plus I don’t like being touched by strangers that much, so it’d really be a loss for me. If it were $100-150, i’d consider it.

@pyma: I’d tell your Maid/Matron of Honor that you like the idea but she needs to discuss it with the other BMs because you definitely understand if everyone can’t spend that much $ on the bachelorette.

Hmmm that does seem like alot. I don’t think I would pay that to attend.
