I think this is a fantastic idea! And I definitely think you were being original because it’s not like you saw it done somewhere else and are going ot do it because of that. You thought up the idea by yourself!

I on the otherhand am definitely thinking about stealing this idea! I had my heart set on rectangular/square vases but vases do get quite expensive! And reusing the wine bottles tie in nicely into our vineyard wedding theme! We have 16 months I’m sure we can accumulate enough wine bottles by then. Hm. I want clear and ones with a green tint to tie into our color scheme.

May I also suggest using the bigger wine bottles (1.5L) if you want a larger vase than a typical wine bottle.

Fun!

Teehee. We don’t generally buy the 1.5Ls but I know the Future In Laws do. And usually the Robert Mondavis which typically has a green tint to them too! Perfect!

Don’t know when your wedding is but you can always ask friends to save their bottles for you too if you’re at all concerned about having enough of the same kind in time for your wedding!

We save wine corks as well of every type of wine we’ve tried. There are TONS.

And yeah I’ve seen the wine cork place holders. But we’re making a home brew together that’s going to double as escort cards/place holders and favors. 🙂 Thanks for the tip though~!
