I kept reading about a “wine box ceremony” and I was like, WTF is that? at first I thought it was a typo and that they meant to say that there would be boxed wine at the reception instead of bottled wine. I was like “well, they are making better brands of boxed wine these days….”
and then I realized after reading a few references, that they meant that the wine box is part of the ceremony. again, I was like, huh? do they have communion, but with boxed wine? or maybe it’s not religious. maybe the officiant holds the box of wine, and together the couple pours into their glass from the plastic spigot? or is it a ceremony where the groom holds up the plastic bladder of wine and pours it into his bride’s waiting mouth? sounds kind of pagan to me. do they stand on boxes of wine? so many ideas went through my head!
and then I finally googled it. wine box ceremony– turns out it sounds really nice! I actually teared up reading about it, and thought maybe I would like to do that for my ceremony.
anyway, just wanted to share – LOL!
