So I am sitting here with a glass of blueberry wine. Its home made, and I have to say that its AWESOME. I’m considering asking the guy who makes it if he’ll supply some for my vow renewal. I love wine all kinds. One of my favorites is Conservancy cherry wine from Cherry Republic. There is also a honey peach white wine that I love.
What is your favorite wine? I need some recommendations for my weekly wine night 🙂

My favorite regular wine is white zinfandel and love this local strawberyy wine.

@Bridey77: A winery near my hometown makes an awesome white merlot. Longshadow Ranch… but I think they only sell direct at the winery. Homewood winery in Sonoma is another favorite. Their red Zin is like love in a bottle.
Also the old vine Reisling from The Hess Collection in Napa. But that’s like drinking honey. You definitely need some dark chocolate or icecream to cut it. So yum.

My current favourite is Traipeche Reserve Malbec (2012) – I love it. I’m pretty sure it’ll be our Red at the wedding.
My favourite white is Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc (2013)

My regular wine is usually Cupcake Moscato. Although, we do have many wineries around here that I love to sample the local goods. I usually get a new bottle to try each week at the farmers market in the summer

Blueberry wine sounds yummy!! Care to share the recipe?
I love all red wines – shiraz is my favorite – but sweet white wine is good too. Or champaigne. Honestly, all wine is good 🙂

My folks used to make an elderberry that was off the hook. I didn’t like the cantaloupe at all but banana was ok. I occasionally will find a boutique winery that makes elderberry and buy a bunch of it but I haven’t found any in years which is really sad.
The blueberry sound good, ill look around for some locally.

@IowaDDS13: Mmmmm, Cupcake Red Velvet is my choice! Bear Flag red is my regular easy drinking wine, Apothic is when I treat myself.

My current favorite is MacMurray Pinot Noir (loving Russian River Vally Pinot Noirs right now in general). I also love almost everything made by Cakebread Cellars.

@Bridey77: I’m pregnant now so I’m not drinking but I am a big wine fan. I love Jarvis Chardonnay, Pride Mountain voignier, and their merlot. I only like Pride Mountain merlot because it’s flavorful and bold but not overpowering like most Merlots.
I used to keep a Syrah and a Malbec in the house at all times. No particular brand, just something priced mid range. Bogle makes great wine for a good price. A German Riesling goes with almost anything.

My cheap “at home” wine is Menage a Trois red blend. So yummy.

@MsGinkgo: We are big fans of Trapiche too. 🙂 So good. I have yet to find a Malbec from Argentina/Chile that I didn’t love.
Our short list:
Casillero del Diablo (the Cab Sauv)
Wolf Blass Yellow Label (any of the reds, except Shiraz. I’m not a Shiraz fan.)
Magnotta Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (the 2011 is awesome. We just drank the end of what we had.)
