I have to tell you all a great idea if your looking for favors, or just something cute to have at your wedding! We’re ordering personalized wine bottles from a winery in Tampa, I just sent them my picture last night & they already have a label for me to look at! You can get 24 bottles for $75, we’re having a small wedding so that’s perfect for us, or if you’re having a large wedding you could just get one order & give them to your bridal party. I’ll attach the link, if you click on Wedding labels for approval, mine is the 3rd one (Steve & Melanie) I think I’m gonna make a few changes but I am super excited about this!! Oh, & the green apple wine is great! That’s the flavor we’re using! :~)

Oh those labels are gorgeous. I’ve been looking for a good place in my area for that. Maybe they can ship to VA…I’m off to email them!

Hey!We’re having a Vineyard Wedding and as is customary in Chinese Weddings (at least in our family) we’ll be leaving 2 bottles of wine (1 pinot (red), FI’s fav & 1 riesling (green) my fav also our wedding colors!) w/customized lables on the tables. Along with wedding favors.A lot of wineries do custom labels. And if not you can always make your own! Another blogger used onlinelabels.com which had waterproof labels you can use on your inkjet printer at home. I haven’t used them so can’t vouch for them.
I would honestly check local wineries in your area that you can drive too. I imagine you would be paying a hefty shipping fee all the way from FL. And laws about shipping alcohol in and out between states is very finicky.

We purchased our wine from a local winery that was having an annual sale to make room for their new vintage…the wine typically costs $18 a bottle but we were able to get each bottle for $2! We are getting our labels made for us (only $5)

If you’re not into wine, beer is a fun alternative. My Fiance is a brewer (in our basement) so we’re brewing 3 or 4 batches and using that and root beer as the favor 🙂

If you are doing alcohol favors, make sure you check with your venue to see if its allowed. We wanted to do mini champagne bottles, and the site allows no outside alcohol to be brought in.

My argument to that is that the favor will not be opened during the reception. In fact, the bottles will be displayed and given to the guests once they leave. 🙂 Plus the label will be custom so for all they know, it could be there wine! 🙂
