I’m finalizing my rental contract, and my caterer is suggesting that I rent 1 wine glass per guest. I’m planning on providing wine, beer, and sangria at the wedding, and I have a feeling not EVERYONE is going to be drinking wine.
What do you all suggest? Do I really need to rent one per person? What are you doing?

I am going to rent one per adult guest. Not everyone will be drinking wine, but I want to give them the option anyway. Also, some guests, might want a fresh glass, so I am sure the extras will get used. We will be serving wine, beer, and maybe champagne.

That’s a good point that having one per guest allows people to get a fresh glass if they need one…I didn’t think about one per adult guest though, maybe I’ll do that (we do have a number of underage guests who will be there.)
Is anyone ordering fewer?

Ikea has real glass wine and champagne flutes for under $1 each. Svalka pattern. How much are rentals?

People often get up, walk around, and ditch their glasses so you’ll want some extras. Probably the best bet is to make sure you have at least one per person to account for this.
