Depends on the season…I tend to drink red in the cooler months (shiraz mostly) and white in the summer (sauvignon blanc for preference).

I prefer white wine – sauvignon blanc is my favourite, but I also enjoy chardonnay. If we’re out or it’s a special occasion, I might also open a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine. That isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy a red, because I do lol – cabernet sauvignon would probably have to be my favourite.

Syrah is my go to red, but sancere is definitely my favorite white. It really depends on the time of year and if food is involved. There is nothing like a good middle of the road pinot noir like Meiomi with Thanksgiving dinner or the Directors Cut red blend on a cool night in the hammock. Or a crisp, refreshing glass of Craggy Range to play darts in the garage and dance around all barefoot to Luke Bryan.

I chose red, but it definitely depends on the time of year, and also what (if anything) I’m eating. If I’m out for dinner, I’ll pair a wine accordingly.

In general though, I love Oregon pinot noirs, and ones that have more earthiness to them, not as fruit-forward.

Love Cabernet Sauvignons that are very oaky, with spice, leather, musty notes. Like Caymus Vineyards or something like that.

For white wines, I’m a sucker for nice oaked chardonnay/burgundy… ones that have that buttery, nutty oily texture. Yum! Rombauer is a fave. Byron and Schafer are fantastic as well… Though these are all definitely special occasion bottles.

White wine is my summer drink. I like wooded Chardonnay best, Pinot Grigio second. I do love a Pinot Noir in the cooler months or with meat like duck.

This past year, I’ve been really getting into coastal whites, especially ones that taste kind of salty and have a bit of seawater funk to them. I’ve had some really minerally Finger Lakes whites that are delish. My go-to white is Riesling.

I love reds, too, but they give me the worst hangovers. I prefer something light, like Pinot noir or Rose, or fruity, like a Grenache blend. Mmm.

daisybabybee:  I love white wines – especially reislings and moscatos. I could go for a good chardonnay every once in awhile, too. If I drink red, it’s mainly Malbecs. Caub-Savs are OK too, but I tend to mix those with sprite/7up in order to drink them.

I also like mixed drinks (morgan/diets), and beer(Leinies and some crafts, but will drink some of the main brands)!

Reds! I like Merlot and red blends. I will drink white, though – I like chardonnay. But I can’t drink much moscato or the like, they are dessert wines and hardly real wine at all. They are only sweet because fermentation is stopped early, so not all the sugars turn into alcohol. The level of sweetness gives me a headache. People who say they LOVE wine, and then say moscato is their favorite, make me roll my eyes.

Apart from wine, I’ve been craving a bloody mary lately!
