We’ve decided to use wine rather than candles in our ceremony for a little something different. The idea is that we each will our a bit of wine into one goblet and then take a drink (similar to the lighting of a candle). I’m wondering if any others have done this and if yes, what sort of carafe and goblets did you use??

We had thought about the wine ceremony but we decided to do the wooden box. So for the wooden box we are having our glasses designed by this seller on etsy. We had matching champagne flutes made also. They are beautiful. I’m sure they would design whatever you want.

Hey! What’s the Wooden box idea? I love Etsy. I’m going to have a look for something appropriate. Cheers!

Yeah, I am curious about the wooden box as well. We plan to do the wine ceremony and I swear I was in church today asking myself this very question : )
I think we are going to get 2 simple wine carafes from a store like Old Time Pottery or Marshall’s, etc., and then get a goblet set that we really like (we will get 2 in case 1 breaks, etc.). Besides, I don’t think you need anything fancy b/c most people won’t see it from a distance in the church. If you want to add a nice touch, maybe you could use the wine glasses from your parents’ ceremony. Just a thought
