I think this is really pretty, and I actually saw wine glasses at the Dollar Tree! I plan to put it on a mirror with some rose petals and small voltives around it. My question is, do you think the candle wax would melt down into the dazzlers I’ll have surrounding them (in the wine glass) and cause a catastrophy?

What about using the battery operated candles, they have those at dollar tree also.

They make 10 & 12 hour votive & tea light candles. I would look into something like that. Sometimes tea lights will come in the little metal surround.. that could help too.
I’m not sure exactly what “dazzlers” are exactly, but are they flammable? If not, the heat and fire shouldn’t bother them. I also don’t know if they float, but you could fill the glass with a little bit of water and get small floating candles.. then no worries at all!

I wouldnt suggest the flameless from the dollar store. I bought some to test them out and they pretty much suck. Not a lot of light and they look really fake & cheesey

@MsCheesecake: thanks for the heads up. I tried the ones from Hobby Lobby and pretty much the same thing. I did like the large battery operated ones though.

These are the “dazzlers” I’m referring to:
I actually have a box at home, so I’ll check and see if they’re flammable. I haven’t heard of 10-12 hour tealight candles! I’ll definitely be looking into that! Thanks, bee’s!! 🙂

I would opt for the clear holder long lasting tea lights as well. Great idea, btw : )
