So I didn’t want to start this thread because I felt like it could jinx things, but I know there are a few of us out there who just got BFPs and need a home.
I’m exactly 4 weeks, 1 day today and have my 1st beta this afternoon. (My BFP is a result of my first IVF…thank goodness it worked (so far))!
I’m feeling extremely crampy – at times it’s almost painful.
My boobs are pretty sore, but not killing me.
I’m tired, especially mid-morning and I get winded when I exert myself and light-headed if I get up too fast.
I know it’s really early in this process, but who else is in the Winter Baby Club?

I completely agree that it is fitting for you start our club!
I am a Winter mama!
Symptoms: Major nausea and food adversions! Boobies have a mind of their own, I swear they grow each day.
Milestones: Had first US after a scare earlier this weeks and everything looked good!
Maybe everyone could post a little

WOOHOO!!! Love that MGG started this thread:)
Due Date: 12-7-12
Symtpoms: Exhaustion, increased appetite the past few days, and nighttime nausea after dinner. No barfing though:) I go in and out with extreme constipation here and there. But overall, feeling good:)
Milestones: 10 weeks today! I have read a lot of stuff that says that the miscarriage rate drops a lot at 10 weeks, with another drop at 12 weeks. That makes me feel *slightly* better:)

One of the best things about being a Winter Mama is that I get to be on maternity leave for the holidays! And even those of you due in Jan, like MGG, will probably still be out for leave/vacation/etc on the holidays:)
I also read where someone who was due in the winter last year posted that you get to eat as much as you want at Thanksgiving and no one thinks twice about it:)

@JaneyD: I’m so happy you started this thread!!! 🙂 Good luck with your beta today!!

Due Date: 01-04-13
Symtpoms: I had vicious morning (a bit of a misnomer, since it was ALL DAY) sickness last week, but that’s tapered off since my doctor put me on Diclectin. I still have bouts of nausea every now and again, and I had a dizzy spell on Monday, but other than that, it’s just extreme exhaustion.
Milestones: 6 weeks today!

Congrats Winter Mamas!!!!

Hi Ladies! Another thread – fun! And nice to see new ladies joining us too.
Due Date: 12/14/12 (I guess this technically means Fall, but Dec. sure feels like Winter, so I’m sticking with it)
Symptoms: Extreme fatigue, nausea and dry heaves throughout the day – though I did throw up yesterday (fun). Very painful breasts, bloating, strong aversion to coffee, which I LOVE (sad!)
Milestones: Had our first dr. appointment last week at 8 weeks and got to see the baby and see the heartbeat on the monitor. Next appointment is June 1 and I will also go for my NT scan that day.
Also since my husband’s a teacher, I’m glad he’ll get to stay home with us a bit longer due to winter break and possible additional paternity leave.

@JaneyD: Congrats!!!! I’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow. Due Jan 5th. Yay for our little 2013 babies!
No crazy symptoms really. some really mild cramping here and there, sore breasts, mild heartburn and some sleepiness. Other than that i feel amazing.
Had an appointment last week for pelvic exam and blood tests. I go back on the 22nd for ultrasound. yay!
I had a freak out moment. My doctor said they wouldn’t call unless something was wrong, well they called but told me the blood tests were fine but i have a bladder infection. Who knew?! haha i couldn’t tell. They gave me some antibiotics.

milestones: Going to try to hear a heartbeat next wednesday =D

Yeah for Winter Mamas! And yeah for MGG for starting the thread! And more yeahs for being in the good company of jholler, who I was rooting for back when things weren’t going her way (to put it lightly).
Due Date: 1/10/13 (according the the Internet). I’m about 5w3d.
Symtpoms: Crazy sore breasts. And even if they’re not technically “sore,” I’m still aware of them. It’s weird. Headaches in the beginning, which I thought were AF related, – but mostly gone now. I can also fall asleep at any given moment. Glad my office has a door. Oh, and yesterday, I busted into a bag of Julio’s toritilla chips in the car on the way home from the store. I have never ever done that before. Mmmmm, Julio’s….
Milestones: First doc appt is Monday. They didn’t want to see me until I was close to 6 weeks. Super excited to go. I think it will actually feel super real by then. I’ve had a good time watching the test line get darker and darker on my IC preg tests. 🙂
