I am getting married 12/21/12 and I just started looking into outfits for my bridal shower and other wedding parties. I am not sure if this rule is outdated but I was once told that you can’t wear white after labor day, which would eliminate the option of the LWD, unless that’s outdated. I wanted to see what you other fall/winter brides are wearing.
Any ideas on what to wear for a bridal shower in late October? I was thinking maybe a long or 3/4 sleeve ivory or champagne colored lace sheath dress. Any thoughts? If you’ve purchased your outfits, show them off!
For the rehersal dinner I always dreamed of wearing a super cute short white dress, like something totally opposite of my wedding dress. Can we wear a white dress in late December? I need some fashion help here!

My showers will be in late September and Late October… and I fully intend on wearing LWD’s…. lol…
I’m going shopping for them tomorrow!
I’ve been told “I’m the bride, so I can wear whatever I want” lol… I like it, and I’m going with it…
Realistically, I think if it’s a wedding related event the “no white” rule doesn’t apply… otherwise they would be a lot of brides looking for “non-white” dresses after the first weekend in September..

@Ms.Meghann: Ok good 🙂 I was hoping that was the case, especially for the rehersal dinner! There are some super cute LWD’s that I would even consider for my bachelorette party, depending on how fancy, etc. Good luck with the shopping! Report back with pics, I’d love to see them! I’ll do the same!

Yore the bride – wear white, wear it out! I never ever followed the white at different times of the year rule. I wear what I want when I want haha.

You can definitely wear white! I wore an ivory cable-knit sweater dress to our winter engagement party.
