Hey all! I’m getting married in October at the WPFM. I’m having a small problem trying to arrange a floor plan for the reception. We have about 162 on the guestlist right now. We’re planning on doing the ceremony on the patio, which I realize may not fit everyone, and some may have to stand, which I’m fine with (it’s a very casual wedding). For the reception though, I’m trying to figure out how to comfortably seat around 150, and still have a dance floor.
I talked to the set up crew there, and they swear they’ve sat 180 in there, but I just don’t see how that’s possible!
So, for anyone who has had their wedding, or has been to a wedding at the WPFM: Floor plan suggestions? And also, how does it work with chairs being on the patio, is there enough chairs to have the ceremony on the patio and everything be set up inside? Or will I have to get people to move the chairs inside and distract the guest?

If they’ve done it before I’m sure they should be able to accomodate you. I’ve never been to a wedding there but I understand its very beautiful. Perhaps they will be setting up for a reception there sometime before your wedding and you can go and see how they arrange the space. Good Luck!

@blueeyedbride49: You should be fine – I think using 60″ rounds would fit 180 people better than using 8′ banquets, which I will be using for a smaller count of up to 128 guests. Have you picked a caterer yet? We met with Puff n Stuff last week, and they told me that they use a CAD program, with all the dimensions, and they were going to check for me if four food stations would fit inside the farmers market with my banquet tables. Perhaps you can discuss this with your caterer too?

They only have tables that seat 8 and 10 and I don’t think they provide enough chairs for ceremony and inside reception. We had 115 guests there and it was comfortable. 50+ is going to be crowded. I think it’s supposed to seat like 145. I don’t know how you could have a dance floor with that many honestly. We left the center open and had the tables all around it. Do ask about all your decorations. They are really serious there about nothing hanging, burlap, sparklers etc. Lots and lots of rules. We tried to get by with one and they actually called the police to make us take them down, crazy. The wedding was gorgeous but decorations went to waste. They don’t let you do much. Do check out Weddings by 2 plus Hue website. She does decorating for you and rents out some unique pieces , if not for her we would have had a wedding with no decorations at all. The owner is super sweet and very talented. Hope that helps!
