I wasn’t aware there was another one coming, but I live in a city that gets a ton of snow every year so I see 6-12+ inches and go, “pfft, that’s it?”

I loved making snowmen and going to this big hill in our town to sled!

Also: is anyone else really annoyed that they’re insisting on NAMING all these stupid winter storms? I think it lends added drama that is not necessary when it comes to weather. We’ve had winter storms forever, no need to play them up by giving them dramatic names. Weather Channel is just pissing me off lately with their fearmongering. There’s a huge difference between being prepared and scaring people into thinking the apocalypse is coming when it likely isn’t. /soapbox

I’m all set with the snow, we had 24 inches about 2 weeks ago, a little sunshine would be nice.

Last winter was a DREAM. We had like one bad storm. I walked to work throughout the winter, saving so much money on bus fare as opposed to this year when the sidewalks have been ice and snow and ick all. the. time.

I’m so glad to be moving to California soon! No more central NY winters!

Hmmm.. if its anything like the storm we just got on Sunday-Monday, i would have stocked up on some good food and movies. My neighbour got 4 foot snow drifts around her entire house and couldn’t leave until late monday night when her son came with a snow blower. I didn’t risk going anywhere cause my car would have gotten stuck. The temperature got down to -38 Celsius (-26 F).

Hopefully your storm is more calm than that lol! Good luck!

I’m also in Kansas. We stocked up yesterday so we shouldn’t have to go out all weekend. I hate snow, bah!

In New Husband, people always seemed to prepare for a storm by buying gallons and gallons of whole milk. So make sure you get that.  I think it appeases the snow gods or something.

@peachacid:  +1

I’ve never understood the obsession with buying ALL THE MILK. People in Ohio used to do that, too. Haven’t noticed as much in New York.
