Hi everyone!
We are planning a small winter wedding for 2012 and our colors are black, ivory and silver. I have found some ideas on line for winter weddings but most of them are the blue and white color theme…that is not us! So if anyone has any ideas, pictures or websites they can suggest I would VERY much appreciate it! We both LOVE snow so I am thinking of going in that direction…a snowflake them…but nothing to cutesy. We were thinking more of winter and nature with snow, pinecones, evergreens, etc.
Thanks Hive!

Hello, month (and year) twin! Winter wedding research takes a lot of patience, and there isn’t a whole lot out there for weddings that aren’t holiday themed or blue-and-white-sparkle.
Our New England winter wedding is all about evergreens, pinecones, candlelight, warm and cozy fireplaces, and intimate gatherings. Our colors are evergreen and cream, and our venue is very historic — complete with dark hardwood floors, lofted ceilings with exposed beams, and rotiron chandeliers. Most of my inspiration has come from personal experience, and I have very little in the way of pictures for inspiration.
My best advice is to select a color scheme that fits with your venue, then decide from there how “wintery” you want it to be. I love your colors! Black with ivory and silver says black-tie to me, with sleek designs and minimalist decor. Let us know what you decide!

If you find a picture of something you like but it’s the wrong color, go into Photoshop and change the colors to what you want.

Change the brown to black:

I’m a January 2011 bride, and I’m using black, ivory, and claret (like burgundy). Very wintery, romantic, cozy feel to the wedding! I’m SO excited!!! Best advice I can say, is find pictures on Google and that will give you ideas as to what you like! Also, go to the “Month Twins” section on here and there are lots of us bees who are January and winter wedding bees 🙂
Best of luck!

Look up Mrs. Champagne’s wedding. She had a February wedding in Vail, Colorado using black, white, and gold.

I just saw these on the pottery barn website. They have snow vase filler! And i don’t know if they sell the frosted tree stumps but it would be really cool to use them if you can find them.

I was also a 2011 january bride, our colours were pink and brown,
with tons of pinecones and with a little bit of fairy-ish feeling 🙂
