I am getting married very close to Christmas in a converted barn (I have included photos of the room where I am having the ceremony (last photo) and where I am having the reception afterwards (first photo)).
The venue will have gold and green Christmas decorations. Orginally I was goign to have a white, gold and olive green colour scheme. Then I bought my dress and fell in love with the way mushroom/mocha/dusty pinks made my dress ‘pop’. My dress has is a soft champagne satin with an ivory lace overlay. I have inlcuded a photo of the colour next to my wedding dress.
Would the mocha colour be too much in my venue? Should I stick to the greens and gold? I’m not sure if gold even goes with the mocha colour so I’d have to go with silver accessories. I LOVE the mocha/white/silver combo – I just don’t want it to look funny in the venue…
Bees please help!!

Stick with the green and just add the mocha… the bridesmaids will be standing directly next to you not the decorations on the walls… and the mocha will look nice with the green, its very earthy

@linnylou_88: Sorry I’m confused, is the colour next to your wedding dress, the colour you want to incorporate? If so, I’d just add it / swap it for the green as I love the look of the gold

@CatyLady: Sorry I was in a rush when I wrote the post!! The couloir next to my wedding dress is the colour I would like to incorporate. If I went with this colour I wouldn’t add any green but there will be some green in the decor because of the venue’s Christmas decorations. I don’t know if it’ll look weird…

Mocha, white and silver are all neutrals and can be added to any color scheme.
