@g456:  I love that dress! But it does seem too summery for a December wedding.

Maybe with a jacket or cardigan?

@g456:  Love that print! If it’s not too cold, I suggest a trench coat in a rust color, and suede pumps in navy blue:

For me, it’s the cotton fabric as much as the open back that makes it a summer dress. An orange blazer would make it look warmer, but it would still be cotton- more associated with a sundress than a cocktail dress.

@g456:  It seems to me like it would be a dress that transitions well from summer into fall, but doesn’t quite make it to winter.

I could maybe see it with a blazer for a daytime wedding, but for an evening wedding, it looks too casual.

Im in NJ and the weather in December here is pretty cold…. and I think that dress does not fit the season. I’ve been to a lot of winter weddings within the last few years and most girls are in black or a darker color.

For me it’s the flowers. I always think of NOT WINTER when I see a floral print lol! I have an emerald cocktail dress that I wear to winter weddings (and my trusty little black dress for weddings where I hear through the grapevine that the bridesmaids are wearing green, which has only happened once)!

If you’ve already bought the dress, follow PP advice and wear it with a blazer or something.

Definitely not for the season. Lovely dress though!

I agree it looks too summery, if you don’t have issues with weight fluctuations, I’d just save it for spring/ summer 2021, I’m sure you will wear it somewhere. I like the dress
