Have a wedding that had been postponed twice already, from June to September and now December. Who knows if it will get postponed again! At some point I think they just need to decide to have a micro wedding or postpone it a full year, but not my wedding so not my choice.
I was planning to wear this dress but not sure if it works for December.. thoughts? Will I look too summery? The weddings in early December and I’m in NJ so there’s a very good posdibliy it may not even be that cold yet, lately it hadn’t gotten really cold until January around here.
But December is still December……

I love that dress! But it does seem too summery for a December wedding.

Maybe with a jacket or cardigan?

I love it too and just really want to wear it!!! But I agree with you, just wanted to see if most people agreed too..good news is I have plenty of weddings postponed to next summer so hopefully can save it till then!

Love that print! If it’s not too cold, I suggest a trench coat in a rust color, and suede pumps in navy blue:

For me, it’s the cotton fabric as much as the open back that makes it a summer dress. An orange blazer would make it look warmer, but it would still be cotton- more associated with a sundress than a cocktail dress.

It seems to me like it would be a dress that transitions well from summer into fall, but doesn’t quite make it to winter.
I could maybe see it with a blazer for a daytime wedding, but for an evening wedding, it looks too casual.

Im in NJ and the weather in December here is pretty cold…. and I think that dress does not fit the season. I’ve been to a lot of winter weddings within the last few years and most girls are in black or a darker color.

For me it’s the flowers. I always think of NOT WINTER when I see a floral print lol! I have an emerald cocktail dress that I wear to winter weddings (and my trusty little black dress for weddings where I hear through the grapevine that the bridesmaids are wearing green, which has only happened once)!
If you’ve already bought the dress, follow PP advice and wear it with a blazer or something.

I already bought this dress because I was planning on wearing it in June, and then September! I agree with all PP which is why I asked the question, just wanted to make sure i wasn’t just creating an excuse to buy another dress 😂😂😂.
Sounds like I’ll be saving this dress for a future summer wedding and finding something else. I agree I always love dark green for winter weddings.

Definitely not for the season. Lovely dress though!

thank you for your concern, but my question was related to the dress. I’m glad you think it is pretty.

I agree it looks too summery, if you don’t have issues with weight fluctuations, I’d just save it for spring/ summer 2021, I’m sure you will wear it somewhere. I like the dress @megm1099:
suggested as well.
