It’s probably just me, B/C I’m weird about floors. But while the yellow would work, I don’t see silver working. That’s just me, but with the red/goldish yellow flooring, I don’t see the metallic working, unless you did a bronze color. Or, even copper(which has a varied tone, depending on manufacturer).

@jcharette:  to be honest, I would keep looking! There’s just far too much going on in that room to carry off any kind of theme….especially a country chic one which demands tones and characteristics which are completely opposite to that room. Are there any “blank canvas” rooms you can rent out? Ones where you aren’t fighting against strong colors/carpet, etc?

I will go against the grain and say Absolutely! Most of the carpet will be covered with tables, chairs and people.

Your yellow and grey will look great in this room.

If you use birch for the rustic, the brown tones on the birch bark will tie in with the tones of the floor and walls.
