I am planning my wedding for January 2013. I think we are going to do a Winter Wonderland theme. I’d love to hear some thoughts/inspriational ideas. Here’s what we’ve brainstormed so far:
– will probably do the typical snowflake with silver/white/light blue stationary (invites, programs, menu cards, thank you)
– for the cake table I was thinking of having some penguin statues since my fiance loves the Pittsburgh Penguins
– for favors, I was thinking of putting a hot chocolate cone on everyone’s plate as their gift. i assume this wouldn’t be too hard for me to make.
I’d love to hear any other suggestions.

What about a (fake)fur-lined cape? I’ve seen this at winter weddings and it’s so gorgeous and classic! I think…..DeathbyDesign had one recently?

I had a winter wedding! Ours was more rustic and had a “sugaring off” theme. Here are some pictures:

S’mores favors! We had a firepit outside so people could make them:

We are also getting married in January 2013. We have decided on a winter wonderland/snowflake theme. Our colors are Silver, White, and Ice blue. I am making some DIY candle holders, I posted in the DIY section, I am making snowflake table runners out of cut out paper snowflakes, and we are hanging snowflakes and paper lanterns from the venue ceiling. We are also doing the hot chocolate favors as well as a popcorn bar. Fiance and I both love popcorn so we are having popcorn, assorted candy, and our hot chocolate favor on a buffet. We are going to have hot water available for our guests to make their hot chocolate. I just bought napkins, silverware rings, dessert plates, and snowflake place mats for our rehearsal dinner all for $40. There are some good sales online for winter decorations. I’m planning on using Baby’s Breath for cake decorations, centerpieces, and for the Bridesmaid or Best Man Bouquets and Groomsmen boutinnieres. I am doing all the flowers myself by ordering in bulk (saving a ton of money and I get to be creative!) There are amazing ideas for winter weddings on Pinterest.
