I would definitely go with boots- it’ll be WAY too cold for flats!

@MrsCClaiborne:  you’re welcome!! The last thing you want to be thinking about when you’re listening to your FI’s vows is “Damn, my feet are cold! Can I get some socks?”

they make really cute rubber boots and matching/coordinating fleece liners to go with them…you could look into something like that.  it’d be very different and cute, and then you could change into flats for the reception.

for example:

these boots are from target…

…as are these liners.

lots of other similar cute options, both at target and elsewhere.  i’ve seen sooooooooo many different patterns printed on these rubber boots.

I love DeathByDesign’s boots. I’ve also seen these for winter weddings- Hunter boots. I’ve seen brides wear white ones or these silver ones. You can get super cute fleecy liners for them, too.

Only thing about Hunter boots is that you can’t wear them if you have fat calves. I say that because I’m a size 1, and Hunter’s give me calf love handles, on my fat ass calves. So it doesn’t matter what size you are, but what size your calves are specifically.

My wedding will be February and I totally plan on wearing my Uggs under my dress for the outdoor pics. Save the pretty shoes for indoors.

I had numerous pairs of shoes.  Heels for the outdoor ceremony (snowas removed from the patio so I could walk) and reception, Ugg boots for the outdoor pics and ballet flats for the late evening.  I wore all 4!

I did wear knee high socks with my boots as it was around -3 degrees C at the ski hill.
